About Scrapbook Paper Size

Susan asks…

Do you know where I can find scrapbook paper size approx 20" by 12"????

Stores or wbsites. Help please? Its for a project.

Scrappy answers:

Look at Michael's,Hobby Lobby, or any art/craft store. In the fine arts section there should be paper called....? Me-something,anyway its like 19x26 or something. There are lots of colors to choose from and runs 2.00 to 5.00 a sheet. Just use a straight edge and scissors to cut it down. Its acid free, like regular scrapbooking paper!

Donna asks…

Does anyone have patterns for folding 12x12 or any size paper into gift bags?

I would like free patterns to fold and make some gift bags out of 12x12 and 8 1/2 x 11 scrapbook paper. I'd like links to diagrams and/or video. Thanks.

Lisa asks…

What size scrapbook do you prefer to use?

I'm not into scrapbooking but I was curious if the ones that hold the 12" or the ones that hold standard sized papers were more popular.

Scrappy answers:

The 12x12 ones are nice. I like the plastic sleeves with a card stock in the sleeve. I pull it out and build my page on it. Both sides.

It depends on what book you are using. I have found nice books in both sizes. Most loose papers you can buy now are in 12x12 size, but if you use it for an 8x11 book, then the margins you cut off can be used for borders on another page. Cut along the edges with the shaper scissors.

Mary asks…

Where can i buy nice patterned scrapbook paper that have different sizes? ?

Particularly 11x17 :)
michaels/joanns or hobby lobby do not have it.

And yes, it is possible to find it. the place i used to use is out of business so i'm stuck with trying to find a new place.

Scrappy answers:

If you know the name of the paper series and manufacturer, try Googling those names. Also try eBay and Etsy to see if anyone is selling some? Otherwise you could buy 12"x 12" paper that coordinates and cut it to size.

Sandra asks…

What's a good size of drawing paper to work on to be scanned in for a blog header?

I want to use a scrapbook like method to create a blog header by scanning it in. In order for everything to be proportional what would be a good size of paper to work on?

Scrappy answers:

For a 100% width you need to split it up into 3, a left which is fixed left. A right, fixed right and a middle that can stretch.

For a static your page should be a maxium of 780px so most screens can view them.
