Anyone bought the scrapbook paper packs sold at Costco?
I was told that Costco sells big packs of scrapbook paper. Both plain cardstock and also patterned paper. Does anyone know how much the scrapbook paper packs costs and how many sheets you get? Any other opinions about the paper would be appreciated. I just would like to avoid a trip there just to check out the price, etc.

Hi, I also bought card stock from them. The paper was of good quality very heavy. The only draw back was that the paper has a white core, and sometimes you just don't want that.The other thing is that the paper was double sided and some of the colors weren't very cute, and a little too bright for my taste. But I have to say that I have never seen regular printed paper in the store. I did buy some handmade paper from them and I really liked it. The price was about 15-20 dollars per pack of over 300 sheets. The only thing with Costco is that they hardly ever have some thing for very long, so if you like something and you can afford to get more than one do so because it is possible that the next time you go in you won't find it.

Origami paper help!!?
Hiya everyone, I got an origami flower kit for Christmas with some beautiful floral paper. I've attempted it a few times, I'm not very good at it, but I really feel like I could get better and I do enjoy it. I've been practicing on some thick paper that my dad has, because I don't want to waste the nice paper.
I've been looking around and I've seen some printable origami paper, my printer isn't very good, but I guess it comes out ok. Is it ok to use these papers? I'm wondering if it would be better to glue 2 pieces of printer paper together?
I also have two packs of scrapbook paper, which I'm thinking of cutting down to size, would this be ok? I wish I could just buy some origami paper, it seems that in Australia you can't buy it anywhere, my sister could get some for me in England, but it would probably get lost in the post or something lol.

I think for practicing, just use what we call here in the States, copy paper or typewrite paper. Origami paper is very thin and makes a nice crease. And you will be making a lot of creases over one another.
Seems like printing your own paper would use up a lot of ink and seems like it would be cheaper to practice on plain paper. The scrapbook paper is nice, if it is thin enough, but having done origami for years, the thinner the better, but the scrapbook paper may not withstand the creasing, it may show the white center at each crease. To glue two pieces of paper together would make it much too thick and heavy and may mess up your creases.
Instead of printing, take the plain paper and make your own designs, perhaps with ink pads and/or rubber stamps.

Looking for double-sided scrapbook paper for project.?
I'm making my own wedding favors, and I need 12x12 or 6x6 double-sided paper (NOT cardstock). I don't want a variety pack, because they all need to be the same design. I'm trying to find a robin's egg blue/chocolate brown color scheme. Some ivory/cream in the mix would be fine too, as long as the other colors are dominant. I want each side to be different. I need a pattern on at least one side. With all of the seemingly millions of paper designs out there, I am having trouble finding this color combination for some reason. I've looked at my local Michael's and have had no luck. Thanks for your help! =]

I don't have any idea if they have what you are looking for by just looking through their ads but if you don't find it why don't you call them and they may be able to make up something for you, They have the double sided color and on page 5 second row is wedding and some more double sided

Any good places to get scrapbook stuff?
Okay so where I used to live there was a store called Hobby Lobby that sold GREAT scrapbook stuff. But I moved Jan 2007 to the coast of NC and there is no where except walmart, and they always have the same things, nothing special. I like printed paper, cut-outs, stickers, themed scrapbook paper packs, and all kinds of things. Are there any good on-line stores that aren't Outragous in price? Please help, my scrapbook is falling behind due to lack of supplies.

Does anyone know where I can find a turtle scrapbook album?
My little sister is leaving going to college this fall & I plan on surprising her with a scrapbook album of us when we were little & pictures between then & now, so its going to be a pretty big album! But her favorite animal of all time is the turtle! And I have been looking everywhere for a turtle scrapbook album, I don't want to buy one & cover it in stickers I just want one big solid turtle or what would so much better if it was in the shape of a turtle & if I can find turtle scrapbook paper packs that would be amazing too! Does anybody know if & where I can find something like this!?
Thank You for your suggestion...but its my fault that I should have mentioned that I need this scrapbook to hold pages that are 12x12...so a standard scrapbook album size!

Now unfortunately that album was sold but they ARE around, so maybe check on eBay and other sites like that. Or you can actually make your own chipboard album now you have an idea to inspire you:

All you would need is a template of the turtle album. Print off the picture of the turtle album and break it down into its basic shapes (shell, body) then cut out your pages from light chipboard, or layer thin cardboard cutouts together to make a stronger page.
Then you can make your album the size you want as well.
