Donna asks…
Make a scrapbook online and print it in a bound book?
I want to make a scrapbook online, like design it with pictures and captions and formatting, and then have it printed into a nice bound book, like a yearbook almost. I know CVS has it, but its program is not what I want it to be, you can't position the photos and the caption spaces are very small. I've looked at smilebox but it kind of confuses me...Does anyone know of a good way to do this?
Thank you so much!

Gor a good scrapbook online go to CropMom at http://www.cropmom.com. Upload your photos and click the create new layout button. Choose the size canvas you'd like to use. Make sure that you use the same size canvas for all of the layouts that you're going to have printed in a photo book. I prefer an 8" by 8" or 12" by 12" photo book.
Drag and drop your photos onto the page. You can resize a photo by selecting it, and pushing or pulling the bottom right corner until it is the correct size. You can move a photo to the back or front layer by selecting the photo and pressed the move forward or move back button repeatedly until it's in the place you'd like.
Choose a "kit" or "category" for the graphics. Drag and drop the graphics of your choice onto the canvas.
If you right click, you'll get more options, such as centering, so you can center your background paper.
You can click add text to add your own text.
Save your layout. You'll need about 20 layouts to fill most photo books. Purchase a bundle of 20 credits from CropMom and download all of your layouts as photo-quality digital files.
Now, go to Snapfish or any other photofinisher that offers photo books. Upload your photos to the site, and use the site's software to create your photo book.
CVS books aren't all that great. I personally like the Snapfish square books, 8" by 8", with the glossy dust jacket. Shutterfly also has nice books. And you can try SeeHere.com, as well.
By using CropMom, you can choose your layout size, and you can use any of CropMom's designer graphics for your layouts.

Scrapbook Online ?
I have just started to look into some of the online services that do scrapbooking. I don't have the time to scrapbook myself, not to mention the expense of supplies. However I do have time for this as it is very quick. These are services where you upload your pictures, then pick out backgrounds, layouts, corners, captions, and other accessories to make a book. I have looked at Picabo and shutterfly, but does anyone else have experience with these services? How do the books come out? What are some of the better sites for this?

Scrappy answers:
Have you checked out Creative Memories' Storybooks? It is a free download and has many themes from which to choose. You can even mix and match. Another plus is that you don't have to be on-line to work on your book. You only have to be on line when you're ready to upload your book to be printed.
I have not personally made one of these books yet but I know several people who have and they are really neat. They are higher quality - thicker pages and stitched binding - than some of the others that are available. (I worked in a library for 11 years and the type of binding a book has makes a big difference in the wear and tear of the book!) I have been very impressed by the books I've seen and can't wait to do one myself. I just need to hurry up and finish a couple of other album projects I have started!
If you don't have a consultant already, please feel free to check out my site:

Good luck with your project!

Betty asks…
Has anyone made a recipe scrapbook online? Do you recommend any sites?
I've been copying family recipes and would like to put together a book with them. I've made different scrapbooks online using shutterfly, but didn't see a recipe layout to use. Originally I was just going to type everything out and have the pages bound together, but if I can use a layout and a website, it would look so much nicer! Has anyone done this before? What websites do you like or is there any that you don't like a recommend not using?

Scrappy answers:
Our church used the site "Morris Press Cookbooks" (see link below).
They were very easy to use, they can be used for making personal cookbooks, fund-raising books or a scrapbook online. I have my copy right here with me now, and it cost us (after fundraising) only $15. It is a very handsome book, and they offer a lot of options for you to choose from.... 3-ring or "binder," hard or soft covered... Etc.
HAVE FUN!
That'll be 5-cents, please.

Nancy asks…
How do i make a scrapbook online n get it shipped?
Its my friends birthday but she doesn't live here i wanted to make a scrapbook online and get it shipped to her in a final product

Scrappy answers:
Most of the sites that have online/digital scrapbooking usually provide printing & shipping services too. While creating the scrapbook is usually free, you will have to pay for printing & shipping.
Here are a few sites you could check out for making a scrapbook online:
www.creativememories.com/ -- The software is easy (and free) to use and allows heaps of manipulations and provides stacks of layouts. It is only when you want to order that you pay for your album and then it is delivered to your house.
Http://scrapblog.com – make a scrapbook online and if you want to print it then you can have them do it and they'll do it professionally.
Www.smilebox.com --- for online scrapbooking
www.cropmom.com
You can download a lot of free digi kits online:
http://www.shabbyprincess.com/
http://www.freedigitalscrapbooking.com/
And here's a list of the top 50 digi scrapping sites:
http://www.scrapbookingtop50.com.au/digi…
http://www.scrapgirls.com -- also allows you to make duplicates of the same albums for multiple people.
Also, you can make digital scrapbook online pages & then have them printed and bound in "photo books" by Snapfish, Shutterfly and My Publisher.
Hope these help
Have fun
