Jenny asks…
how much does a cheap scrapbook at Michaels cost?

Scrappy answers:
It depends on what size you want and if it's on sale or not. If you are patient you can wait for it to go on sale and pick up a 12x12 for $5
You can look at their sales circular at their website http://www.michaels.com They start a new sale each week.

Mary asks…
How much do scrapbook albums cost at Michaels?
Like average cost?
i tried looking online but they dont post prices and i just want to know the average price or the price range.

Scrappy answers:
Depending on the quality of the album you are probably looking at anywhere from $12 - $40. Cheaper quality which would just be vinyl with a pattern or picture of some type will be less, while fabric or even leather will run more. Michael's will run a sale on the albums quite often. Also, you could use a 40% off coupon and get a really good deal on one. You might check Joann's website. They have quite a few and display their price.

Lizzie asks…
What brand of scrapbooks are best?
I want to put together a scrapbook of pictures from my wedding. I've never scrapbooked before and my sister in law has offered to help me as she is a pro at it and has all the suplies. She asked me to purchase a scrapbook from creative memories because she says they're the best. But the problem is that none of the albums (they all look so plain!) or pages are really my style (they're really frilly and flowery). I found a scrapbook at Michael's that I like and was told that the scrapbooks from Michael's are inferior to creative memories.(and basically a waste of money) So since I have no experience with this I would like to know what all you scrapbookers prefer to use, and if I should just listen to my sister in law and get an album that's not really my style. I think that what my sister in law is trying to say is that quality is more important than style, so I guess I'm all just wondering if that's what you all think too. Thank you!

Scrappy answers:
I used to be a CM consultant and let me tell you, Westrim MAKES Creative memories albums. I have a lot of CM albums and yes they are plain but mine are general subject matter. For a special occasion you might check ColorBok, American Crafts, AMM (all my memories), KIMemories or Kolo. If you get an acid-free and lignin-free album and it looks quality then go for it. If you have page protectors on your pages that will help with any outside acid or pollutants that the pages will get exposed to.
Creative Memories gets their paper from ColorSpectrum which can also be found in some scrapbook stores. Their stickers are made partially by Frances Meyers and their pens are made by Zig and Sakura. Their refill pages are made by Pioneer. CM is great, don't get me wrong, but most of your mainstream lines out there are just as safe as CM and also there is a lot of variety out there.
You might try and taking some classes at your local scrapbook store or Michael's or ACMoore. They can give you some objective advice on things and a lot of the teachers are former CM consultants. A lot of we scrapbookers started with CM because years back they were almost the only game in town, but a lot of their designers and tech people now work for companies like K&Company, Making Memories, EKSuccess, etc... Which leaves credence to the quality of product out there in the general line of scrapbook materials.
I personally use Pioneer for my general day-to-day albums. For 'special' albums do a search "scrapbook albums" in Google and you will find a large selection and just look at what you see is quality. K&Company and Anne Griffin albums I find are a bit flimsy if used a lot and their posts are a bit 'off' from other albums.

Donna asks…
Can I get good disney scrapbooking supplies at Michael's or Hobby Lobby?
I just went to disney world and now I want to make a scrapbook with my pictures I took. Do they have good disney stickers, paper, etc. at Michael's or Hobby Lobby?

Scrappy answers:
I would try Hobby Lobby over Michael's. I have seen lots of Disney stuff there and their prices are better too.

Carol asks…
Can You get 1 inch clear epoxy dots in a craft store?
Going to attempt to make bottlecap necklaces, I want to try the regular resin/epoxy and I want to try the 1 inch epoxy dots to see if I like the result, can I get them in the scrapbook section say at joann fabrics or michaels?

Scrappy answers:
I have bought the special glue that allows me to "make" my own epoxy look alike stickers, embellishments etc. I have used diamond glaze but put it on thick, make sure to pop bubbles and allow a LONG time to dry before trying to use! Good luck
