Do you keep a book of  journaling quotes?

In my continuing effort to improve myself, I started journaling to sort out my thoughts. I don't write in it every day, but it's there when I need it. I also started a little book in which I write life lessons, inspirational journaling quotes, etc. I just have to remember to look at it every day. Do you do anything like this?

Question about Journaling?

Wow, I've tried journaling ever since I was little. I really cannot get into it, I don't think it's something I really want to do, but I thought I'd give it a go again. I think it's the pretty blank books that catch my eye. What else could I use this for? I tried  journaling quotes in it but that seems as if it will take forever and I don't really want to search for them and I'll probably never look for them. I was thinking of drawing in it but the paper is quite thin and what if the pencil gets smudged? Any ideas how I can not waste this delightful book?

HELP, it's almost Father's Day and...?

My son is a Father-to-Be and I am making a Father's Day gift or him.

It's a book made up of journaling pages, pages of questions about himself, and pages of letters from his closest family members.

The purpose of the book in the short run is for him to do some self-discovery through answering the questions and journaling, and the letters will remind him that he is not alone. For later, it will be something he can look back on to measure his growth. Ultimately, I want it to be something he will give to his child, so the child will get to know who his father was at this time in his life. And, hopefully, it will be taken care of and passed on.

The journaling pages is where I need your help. I will put a quote on each journaling page, and I'm trying to decide which types of quotes go best with the overall theme of the book. I gathered quotes about being a father, journaling quotes about babies and raising kids, and inspirational everyday quotes.

An example of a father quote is "You will find that if you really try to be a father, your children will meet you half way"

An example of a baby quote is "A baby is God's opinion that life should go on"

An example of an everyday quote is "It is not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves"

They are all relevant in different ways, but which type(s) do you think go best with the overall theme and purpose of the book? Also, feel ree to make suggestions on other things I might include in the book and/or ideas for a nice cover design.

how do i transfer font onto a photo?

Okay so i have recently gotten into scrap-booking with my mother and sister. I was looking through some sample pages to get some inspiration and i saw some journaling that was really interesting. On a printed photo that was previously printed, this woman had her journaling in a white space on the photo. So my question is, how the heck did she get this printed tahoma font off the computer and transferred onto this photo? I know they have rub on journaling quotes and things you can buy, but this was her journaling like in her own words. It may be a really simple answer but i just can't get my head around it. Please help!
clearly i didn't write the question the right way i guess...what i mean is say i have this old photo already printed out...how do i print text off a computer then transfer said text onto a photo...not using photo shop or anything, simply printing out text then transferring that text onto a previously developed picture...
