Decoupage would probably be the best thing to use. I recently glued scrapbook craft paper to a wood block- I just used a glue stick to stick it in place, then I brushed elmer's white glue over the top of it to seal it down. It seems to have worked very well. I did about 4-5 coats of glue, letting the block dry between each coat. It created a glossy finish. I'm very pleased with the final results. Decoupage is better quality, I'm sure, and better than white glue, but the glue worked just fine for me.

This is totally ghetto....but what I use is cereal boxes....I'll cut them down to size and since I always have a "new" one coming I don't have to worry if they get beat up. But if you're concerned with how your craft room looks, I'd use a file cabinet. Not very unique, but very handy.

It depends on the paper quality because the thinner it is the easier the ink can show on the other side and if the paper is weak, it can easily be torn by the printer while printing. Except the above it can print like normal paper if the paper is cut to normal size.

KB and Friends has 10 or so digital scrapbook kits in its store that are free to download. Just go to http://www.kbandfriends.com, go to the shop, then click on the Free category. You can purchase digital scrapbook kits there, as well.

With digital scrapbook paper, you can print it out on your home printer. Unless you have a wide-format printer, though, it won't print 12" by 12". You can also print the embellishments on card stock and cut them out.

I've seen some cute paper scrapbook pages made by printing digital scrapbook paper and embellishments.

I would say under $1. It depends on the exact size and texture. I am not sure if you can buy just one though...
